Safe Sex
- Practising safe sex is key to reducing your risk of getting sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia.
- Each time you have a new sexual partner, use a condom. Using condoms each time you have sex reduces the risk of getting or passing on an STI.
- Each time you change sexual partner it is advisable for both of you to get a chlamydia test.
- If you have chlamydia, do not have any sex (oral, vaginal, anal or sex toys) with partner(s) until they have been treated too.
- You should abstain from sex for seven days after both you and your partner(s) have been treated for chlamydia.
