The Clamelle chlamydia service is a private service that is paid for by the customer. It consists of two components:

• Clamelle Chlamydia Test Kit - tests are bought from the pharmacy, posted off by the customer to the laboratory.
• Clamelle Tablets (azithromycin 500mg tablets) - (azithromycin 500mg tablets) - OTC treatment supplied after a confirmed positive test and if appropriate to the individual (using a customer questionnaire).

The Clamelle test and treatment can only be sold by pharmacies that are registered on the Clamelle chlamydia service.
